E.C. Andersson: Timepod
The Swedish machinist-brand's follow-up to the Mytilus, built around a 39mm by 39mm square case with a push-button lug release system that detaches the wire lugs from the caseband, designed to keep debris out while giving service access. A bevelled crystal is fixed to the case with six visible screws and rises dramatically from the centre. It measures 46.6mm lug to lug and 11.2mm tall, with a screw-down crown and 70m water resistance. Two dial variants at launch, Burnt Umber and Bare Metal, both sandwich construction with a date aperture near 6. Powered by a Miyota 9075 two-time-zone movement with an independently adjustable local hour hand. Sold via the E.C. Andersson website and its waitlist programme at US$2,155.
