Louis Moinet: Moon Meteor
Louis Moinet's Moon Meteor turns the dial into a miniature cosmic scene, limited to just 12 pieces. A hand-painted, multi-layered lacquer nebula reaches across the dial, and in the dark the hidden luminescence is revealed; three meteorite fragments sit at 2, 4 and 8 o'clock (Jbilet Winselwan, the Sahara 97093 EH3 enstatite meteorite, and the Martian NWA 13925), with the outer flange cut from Muonionalusta showing Widmanstätten patterns. A domed, hand-engraved central moonphase disc is marked by lunar meteorites Gadamis 005 for the full moon and Dhofar 457 for the new, accurate to a day every 122 years. The 40.7mm Grade 5 titanium case weighs 18 grams and runs the LM113 automatic. CHF 48,000.
